These belong to the Faculties of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.med.uni-frankfurt.de\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Medicine<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goethe-university-frankfurt.de\/45902712\/fb15?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biological Sciences<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uni-frankfurt.de\/fb\/fb05\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Psychology and Sport Science<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goethe-university-frankfurt.de\/57656178\/Home-fb14?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goethe-university-frankfurt.de\/58074304\/Faculty-of-Computer-Science-and-Mathematics?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mathematics<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uni-frankfurt.de\/63109041\/Physik_en_neu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Physics<\/a> and in addition to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brain.mpg.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Max Planck Institute for Brain Research<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aesthetics.mpg.de\/forschung\/abteilung-neurowissenschaften.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Max-Planck-Institute for Empirical Aesthetics<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mpibp-frankfurt.mpg.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysics<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/fias.uni-frankfurt.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS)<\/a> and the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esi-frankfurt.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Ernst-Str\u00fcngmann-Institute (ESI)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The general purpose of the ICNF is the promotion of neurosciences in Frankfurt, with the goal of leading neuroscientific research and education in Frankfurt towards scientific excellence.<\/p>\n<p>This is going to be fostered by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Encouraging the exchange of ideas and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.izn-frankfurt.de\/en\/icnf-world\/projects\/\">cooperation of members<\/a> from the different fields.<\/li>\n<li>Public relations work to promote the visibility of the Frankfurt neurosciences<\/li>\n<li>Promotion of young researchers, including organisation of the Master&#8217;s program <a href=\"https:\/\/www.izn-frankfurt.de\/en\/master\/\">&#8220;Interdisciplinary Neuroscience&#8221;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>International cooperation in the field of neuroscience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ICNF is a member of the cross-county research network <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rmn2.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rhine-main neuroscience network<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=&#8221;ueberuns&#8221; title=&#8221;About us&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]The ICNF represents a consortium of over 60 research groups in Frankfurt, Germany.
